Kroc Center Open House
COME TO THE KROC - any current, former, potential Omaha Masters
swimmers are welcome to an Open House at the Kroc Center. Come and meet the Kroc Center staff, take a tour of the building,
go swimming and have some yummy food. Tuesday, August 26, 6:00PM - 8:00PM. Food will be served at 7:00PM. Please let Erin
Sullivan know if you are going toattend so we will have enough food. And, bring a friend along who is interested in swimming.
Kroc Center just completed some pool maintenance: newly painted pool, newly painted locker rooms, and new water. Come and
have a look!
practice will be held on Monday, September 1.
No practice will be held the evening of
Friday, September 12 at CSM due to a Volleyballgame – the locker rooms will be used by the athletes.
A questioned was raised about program fees, specifically would they be raised. They
will remain the same for 2014. After a couple of months running practices at both sites then it will be evaluated
to see the number of swimmers participating in the program. So for now it is still $100 per quarter and $40 per
month. A swimmer may participate at either or both pools at no additional costs.
On Saturday, September 13 (this does not conflict with a Husker Football game),
Tim Patterson is again organizing a golf outing for the Omaha Women’s Swimming and Diving Team. This event
was a lot of fun in the past years, and I usually don’t like to golf but I did like this event. It is not
a fundraiser it is more of a friendraiser – getting supporters of the swimming community together. Eagle
Run will be the course, with a late morning tee time of 10:00 am (with lunch afterwards). Masters, boosters, alumni,
and friends are welcome to be part of this. The entry fee is the same as last year - $42 ($168 per team). It
would be awesome if we could get at least 2 foursomes from our group! Contact Tim (Tim.Patterson@Conagra.com) or Todd
(firstname.lastname@example.org). Please let us know asap, even if it is tentative.
