Conference
Championship
The UNOmaha Swimming and Diving team and College of St Mary Swimming team will be participating in the Midwestern Collegiate
Championships from February 17 to 20, hosted at UNOmaha. A few volunteers are needed
to make the event run smoothly. Specifically we need an announcer and a person to run the music – HELP! If
you would like to volunteer, then contact Todd at 250-1769 or tsamland@unomaha.edu
Give Your Input
In
early March the 6 am practice will be returning! Over the past 5 months the 5:30 am practice has shown fantastic participation
– so the 5:30 am practice will be offered year round. Now for your input on practice starting time in the Spring.
Would you like to have 6 am practice on Tuesday and Thursday OR have it on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday? Chime
in over the next two weeks – a decision will be made the week of February 22.
Early Morning!
Please! Do not leave valuables in your car. We
have not had a break-in for the past 12 months, and it would be nice to maintain that streak. We are easy targets because
we are predictable and removed from any consistent traffic. Please bring your valuables (personal and work) into the
pool area.
Lane Ropes In
John Hartigan
and Erin Sullivan have done a big share of the responsibility of putting the lane ropes in before practice – Thank you!
It would be nice to have a few more hands arriving early to assist in the set-up.
Odors
Not many requirements exist to be part of our program, but one strong rule does exist –
brush your teeth before practice. It is amazing how the senses are heightened while exercising, and swimmers are definitely
in close proximity to each other – so be kind to your neighbor and brush. On another side note, a heavy dose of
odor enhancing chemicals can also permeate to the pool – so please apply lightly after you swim J
Thank you.
